In recent weeks, we’ve been going to the cinema a lot, and have been watching ‘proper’ films without explosions. We’ve seen Memoirs Of A Geisha (dull), Walk the Line (excellent), Brokeback Mountain (very good) and Cache (unsettling). I’m basically building up some good cinematic karma that I can trade in when the stuff with explosions comes out later in the year. This year’s list includes V for Vendetta, Superman Returns, X3 and A Scanner Darkly, the trailer for which has just appeared online. I’ve been reading a lot about this live-action-animated style that they’re going for and thought it sounded cool, but wasn’t really sure how it’d work. From the looks of the trailer it’s going to work very well indeed…
