Quicktime 7.2 update breaks Perian

I installed the Quicktime 7.2 / iTunes 7.3.2 updates last week, and discovered today that I could no longer open AVI files in QuickTime Player or iDVD. Finder wouldn’t create a preview either.

I use Perian, which provides all the codecs I’ve found I need for doing stuff with Quicktime and iDVD, and apparently the QT update overwrites Perian. A simple reinstall of the plugin had it all fixed up nicely.
