I woke up at about 5am this morning with the realisation that our gig at the Dog And Trumpet in Coventry tonight will be exactly 2 years to the day since I first performed with the Stupids at Robbin’s Well. Looking back at the photos of that gig, I’ve put on weight since then… 

One of the Stupids’ biggest bugbears is the insistence of people to use the word ‘ska’ when describing us. I accept that for some people it’s a simple shorthand for ‘a punk band with brass’, but it’s wildly inaccurate.  For the record, the dictionary.com definition of ska describes it as Popular music originating in Jamaica …
